Despite owning 7 breeding age mares, and 2 very enthusiastic stallions - we've decided that for us, it's the right decision to keep our breeding program very small. That way we can really enjoy each foal properly and also aim to find the best possible home for each little horse that has to leave here.
Our foals though beautiful may not all necessarily mature into pictures of perfection, or grow up to be show stoppers, but we value each foal born and we feel they're all very special and deserve good lives!

These photos are all small framed "thumbnails" (in order for us to be able to show many photos on each page), so please remember to click on any image if you'd like to see the larger, good quality version. Then just use the "back" button to return to this web page again.
Our one and only foal in 2005, was Fynbos Lunar Abbotsford Celebration ("Abbey"). Sired by our leopard pintaloosa stallion Fancourt, out of Pam a cremello mare .
Abbey is now a beautiful and leggy two year old filly. For yearling pictures please go to New Owners

We were extremely happy to announce the safe arrival of our two 2006 foals:
Fynbos CC Funky Lloyd / AMHA - Lloyd is a wonderful little silver dapple tovero colt, out of our lovely mare Nicola and sired by our leopard pintaloosa stallion Fancourt. This just once again proves that Fancourt passes on overo genes. Little Lloyd also appears to have appaloosa sclera and striped hooves, so he may eventually develop appaloosa markings as well. For now though, we think he's perfectly flashy (not to mention "funky") enough, especially with that big blue left eye of his! With a cannon bone measurement of about 7 1/4" (midknee to coronary band) he should mature around 31" tall.
Lloyd found a wonderful home further north in BC.
Fynbos CC Spotacus / AMHA - This very unique blue eyed leopard overo pintaloosa colt's arrival just took our breath away. We've just never seen a miniature that looked quite like this little charmer. His dam is our lovely palomino pintaloosa mare Alana, and he was sired by our leopard pintaloosa stallion Fancourt. With a cannon bone measurement of about 7 3/4" (midknee to coronary band) he should mature around 34" tall. Spotacus has also found a very good new home, where we're confident he will have an exciting future.
These sweet little foals will have to be all for now. At this time, we are not planning to do any more breeding for a while!

Fynbos Miniatures had no foals to announce in 2007, and we don't expect to have any foals in 2008 either.
