Fynbos Miniatures has 4 lovely little mares - all around 30" or under.

WASHS ROWDY LITTLE ERIN /AMHA, AMHR - Erin is our very pretty tiny 27.5" bright sorrel mare from Texas, USA. Her sire is Tony Greaves' 27" black stallion Little Americas 007 Rowdy Tornado and her dam is 30 1/2" Washs Spitfire Classic Princess, daughter of Brewers Classic Spitfire (who is a son of Brewers Orion Classic) and Brewers Crimson Lady. Erin also goes back to historical stallions Rowdy, 007 1/2 Moto, Komokos Little Champ, Komokos Little Dude, Orion Light Van't Huttenest and Bond Jocko. This little lady is sensitive and very sweet natured, and she also enjoys being around children. Her first foal was Little Joe, a tiny red roan pinto colt. Thank you so much Shirley and William Wash (Wash's Miniature Horses) for helping us to bring this very special tiny mare to Canada.

DAWN FARM DANCING HALEY / AMHA - Haley is our lovely 29" black/brown pinto mare. With such a striking partially white tail, we felt that she really should be named after Halley's comet. This little mare is extremely pretty and refined, with an almost Arabian type head and neck. Haley's sire is Dawn Farm Robyn, a Bond Prince Charming son (and Bond Sunchaser grandson). Her dam is First Knights Bit O' Star Dancer, a daughter of Sooner States Bit O' Honey. Haley has an exceptionally sweet, sensitive and gentle nature, and she will have a home with us for the rest of her life.

ANGELS LITTLE EASTER BUNNY / AMHA - Bunny is our teeny tiny 26" black pinto mare, who is also an important family member. Bunny is very vocal and a real character. She also steals hearts wherever she goes with her sweet, confident and easy-going disposition. Her sire is Tamaracs Stingrae, a FWF Little Diamond Jim son.

FYNBOS MVK BUNNYS ANGELIC MEGHAN / AMHA -  Meghan may not be exactly angelic, but she's certainly spirited with a lot of character. She's a very pretty 30 1/4" bay pinto, born in 2001. Meghan is quite refined and almost Arabian in type. She's also very energetic and moves just beautifully.

REFERENCE MARES

The following mares are no longer owned by us, but each of them had such a distinct impact on our breeding program, and we will always miss them.

FA GOLDEN LEGENDS ALL THAT GLITTERS / AMHA, AMHR - ("Pam") was our friendly 33.5" cremello (double dilute) mare, who gave us 3 beautiful palomino fillies - Alana, MorningGold and Abbey . Her sire is 27.5" Hemlock Brooks Golden Legend, a palomino pinto son of 27" Hemlock Brooks Silver Legend and 27" Hemlock Brooks Buttons N Bows. Pamela's palomino dam, 31" Dell Teras Fancy Lady is truly an amazing mare, who still gave birth to Pam at age 26! Pam was a wonderful broodmare for us. Thank you (Flying A Farm - Arkansas, USA) for this mare who helped to make some of our golden dreams come true. Although Pam now lives in Alberta, we will always remember her.

TAMARACS PAINTED PIXY / AMHA - ("Nicola") is a very beautiful and colourful 32" buckskin/DUN pinto mare. She was one of our very best broodmares, who also passed on her cream/ dun/ silver/ pinto genes. We think Nicola is a very special mare, and even just watching her makes one feel happy. This extremely gentle and unassuming mare is also a  FWF Blue Boy granddaughter!  Her 2001 daughter Lucy, can be seen below, and her 2006 colt Lloyd can be admired on the foals page. We really miss our Nicola, and we will always love her!

FYNBOS SEQUOIA'S SPOT OF LUCK / AMHA - "Lucy" is a beautiful 30 1/4" buckskin pinto mare, who was born in 2001. Lucy has an attractive head and lovely big eyes. She's also quiet with a very gentle disposition, and enjoys spending time with children. Lucy's dam is Nicola, shown above, and her sire is a black pinto stallion called Tamaracs Sequoia. Lucy is very special, and we will always love her.
